Oxford has witnessed so much over the centuries, and been a centre of key events that have shaped national history - The Dissolution of the Monasteries, the Civil War and the Restoration. Stratford Upon Avon
A magical blend of heritage and drama in and around Shakespeare's home town. This greatest of English playwrights suitably entered and left this world on St George's Day, and has become a figure synonymous with Englishness around the world. Come and discover his birthplace, and the beautifully thatched cottage where he spent so much time after his marriage to Anne Hathaway.
